The Clinical Social Worker III (CSW III) at City of Hope plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive psychosocial care to Pediatric patients and their caregivers. You'll utilize your expertise to offer supportive counseling, conduct psychosocial assessments, deliver therapeutic interventions, educate patients and families, and connect them with community resources. As a CSW III, you'll also mentor MSWs, participate in multidisciplinary program development, and engage in emergency/crisis response.

In this dynamic role, you'll lead performance improvement efforts, actively contributing to initiatives that enhance the delivery of psychosocial care. Your qualifications should include:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW).
  • Active registration as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Proficiency in providing medical social work services.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide supportive counseling, psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, education, and community resource support.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to contribute to program development, evaluation, and improvement initiatives.

Minimum Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an approved Accredited School of Social Work

Minimum Experience:

  • Five years medical social work experience
  • Two or more years post licensure experience

Req. Certification/Licensure:

  • Out of state Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Active registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
  • CSW III must pass the LCSW exam and become a LCSW in the state of California within one year or be demoted to CSW II
  • For pediatric service, CCS Panel provider or complete application within 60 days of hire

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $45.22 - $72.36 / hour
