POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Vice President for Patient Services assumes daily responsibility for management of Nursing Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages available resources to meet the goals of the organization and department.
Maintains an awareness of interdepartmental relationships and facilitates communication to optimize patient care.
Promotes cooperation, a positive attitude and creates a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Responsible for knowing and adhering to established Hospital policies and procedures, including all aspects of safety.
They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of Nurse Administrators so classified.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Current license to practice in New York State.
BSN required, Master's degree in nursing or related field highly desirable.
Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association required.
Minimum five (5) years progressive experience in Nursing.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Current ACLS and PALS provider certification from the American Heart Association preferred.

As part of employment at Southampton Hospital, there may be occasions when travel to other locations is needed to support operational needs.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established based on relevant experience
