Responsibilities:

The individual filling this position will serve as a core faculty member in the audiology section, within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, College of Allied Health.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Teaching didactic courses in the Doctor of Audiology (AuD), Master of Arts in SLP, and Bachelor of Science in CSD programs.

• Maintaining an active and productive research program in area of expertise, including consistent publication in high-quality scholarly journals and successful application for external research funding.

• Mentorship of AuD student capstone research projects.

• Service to the University, College, department, and profession.

Required Qualifications:  

• PhD in Audiology or related field (ABD candidate with anticipated degree by June 2026 will be considered).
• Evidence of successful university teaching.
• Potential for a productive research program, including eligibility for external funding.
• Excellent interpersonal, outreach, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Evidence of successful teaching in foundational AuD coursework (eg, hearing science, anatomy and physiology), pediatrics, and/or cochlear implants.
• Evidence of experience in or ability to mentor student research.
• Ability and interest in collaboration across health disciplines in teaching and scholarship.
• Eligibility for professional licensure in Oklahoma.
