Responsibilities:
The individual filling this position will serve as a core faculty member in the audiology section, within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, College of Allied Health. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Teaching didactic courses in the Doctor of Audiology (AuD), Master of Arts in SLP, and Bachelor of Science in CSD programs.
- Maintaining an active and productive research program in area of expertise, including consistent publication in high-quality scholarly journals and successful application for external research funding.
- Mentorship of AuD student capstone research projects.
- Service to the University, College, department, and profession.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Audiology or related field (ABD candidate with anticipated degree by June 2026 will be considered).
- Evidence of successful university teaching.
- Potential for a productive research program, including eligibility for external funding.
- Excellent interpersonal, outreach, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Evidence of successful teaching in foundational AuD coursework (eg, hearing science, anatomy and physiology), pediatrics, and/or cochlear implants.
- Evidence of experience in or ability to mentor student research.
- Ability and interest in collaboration across health disciplines in teaching and scholarship.
- Eligibility for professional licensure in Oklahoma.
