The Iowa State University Seed Laboratory is hiring for a Customer Relations Coordinator III. Our lab has a history of excellence in seed testing, training, and customer service dating back more than 100 years. We offer cutting-edge seed analysis technologies and services for both Seed Quality and Seed Health testing. This position will provide leadership and mentorship to team members in Seed Lab Health and Quality testing processes. In addition to overseeing sample intake and unboxing, data entry, and the timely review and distribution of test results, this role will guide best practices, support professional development, and ensure efficient workflows. The position is fast-paced and requires strong attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and a collaborative approach to training and supporting team members.
Example of Duties
· Provides product information, guidance, and recommendations to meet customer needs, including explaining submission requirements, testing services, and timelines.
· Explains lab policies, procedures, and offerings to customers, ensuring clarity and understanding.
· Fulfills customer requests, including sample intake, data entry, invoicing, billing, orders, and special testing requests.
· Resolves customer issues, proactively following up with customers and internal lab staff to address missing information or concerns.
· Coordinates special projects, including preparing outgoing shipments, trade show support, and other lab or marketing initiatives.
· Maintains and builds strong customer relationships, acting as a liaison between customers, internal teams, and vendors.
· Selects and liaises with vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
· Assists with marketing, promotions, and sales support, including event preparation and materials shipping.
