We are seeking a dedicated Gastroenterology Nurse Navigator to join our multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with complex GI conditions throughout their care journey. In this impactful role, you will provide expert guidance, education, and support—helping new patients navigate coordination of care, diagnostics, procedures, treatments, and follow-up care with confidence and clarity. You will be supporting multiple physicians and performing chemotherapy education and teaching.

We are seeking a dedicated Gastroenterology Nurse Navigator to join our multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with complex GI conditions throughout their care journey. In this impactful role, you will provide expert guidance, education, and support—helping new patients navigate coordination of care, diagnostics, procedures, treatments, and follow-up care with confidence and clarity. You will be supporting multiple physicians and performing chemotherapy education and teaching.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Serve as a central point of contact for patients referred to gastroenterology services, ensuring seamless coordination from diagnosis through treatment.

  • Provide individualized patient education related to GI procedures, chronic conditions, and treatment plans.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, radiologists, nutritionists, and other care team members to develop and execute comprehensive care plans.

  • Monitor patient progress, facilitate timely follow-up, and advocate for patient needs across multiple specialties.

  • Enhance the patient experience by reducing barriers to care, improving communication, and fostering trust.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Five years of professional nursing experience to include three (3) years of ambulatory oncology experience.

  • Care coordination experience including GI, endoscopy or internal medicine.

  • Registered Nurse in the State of California

  • One of the following certifications required within one (1) year of hire: OCN, AOCN, ONN- CG, ONN-CGSM, AOCNP

Preferred education, experience, and skills:

  • With preferred degree, two (2) years of experience in an ambulatory oncology setting.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $51.24 - $81.98 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
