Are you passionate about ensuring patients have the safest and best possible surgical experience? As a Pre-Anesthesia Treatment Nurse Practitioner, you’ll play a critical role in preparing patients for surgery, conducting thorough preoperative assessments, and collaborating with anesthesiologists to optimize patient care.

In this role, you’ll evaluate medical histories, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, and identify potential anesthesia risks—helping to prevent complications and improve surgical outcomes. You’ll also educate patients on what to expect before, during, and after anesthesia, ensuring they feel informed and confident.

This is a Hybrid position - 2-3 days in person required, 1-2 days from home

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Strong Clinical Assessment Skills – The ability to conduct thorough preoperative evaluations, identify anesthesia risks, and optimize patients for surgery.
  • Expertise in Anesthesia & Perioperative Care – A solid understanding of anesthesia protocols, risk factors, and pre-surgical optimization strategies.
  • Excellent Communication & Patient Education – The ability to clearly explain anesthesia procedures, address patient concerns, and ensure they feel informed and confident.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork – Working closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless preoperative care.
  • Attention to Detail & Critical Thinking – Identifying potential complications early, interpreting diagnostic tests accurately, and making informed clinical decisions to improve surgical outcomes.

Your qualifications should include:

· Master’s degree, or Doctorate degree as a Nurse Practitioner

· Three years of clinical experience

· Current California RN license

· Current California Nurse Practitioner license

· Current California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing license.

· DEA expected within 6 months of hire.

· National Nurse Practitioner Board Certification thorough accrediting body

· Specialty certification as defined/required for role.

· Current BLS certification through American Heart Association

· Current ACLS certification through American Heart Association

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $119000.00 - $213832.00 / hour
