Summary

The Baylor Teen Health Clinic currently provides pregnancy testing, family planning, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and HIV/AIDS education and screening, primary healthcare, and case management services to teens, their partners, and adolescents in Harris County. The clinics provide services to teens from the age of 13-24.

Services We Provide: • Comprehensive Exams (Male & Female) • Gynecological services • Birth control and family planning • Sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment • Primary healthcare • Immunizations • HIV/AIDS education and screening

We are seeking a Coordinator, Patient Support Services to perform traditional office duties and skills. The coordinator will schedule and coordinate patient appointments and visits, including telemedicine. In addition, he or she will prepare and maintain daily appointment schedules and collects necessary patient information while completing documentation, applications and eligibility. Other duties include processing enrollment applications and performing data entry timely, accurately and in compliance with State and Federal standards and guidelines. The coordinator will perform these and other office functions as necessary to meet departmental goals.

Will work in one of eight clinic locations. Each clinic is typically staffed with a Patient Support Services Coordinator, A Medical Assistant a Nurse (RN or LVN) and a Nurse Practitioner.

Job Duties

  • Duties include patient interaction, customer service and basic office skills.
  • Greets, orients and answers patients questions.
  • Records Patient arrival in Practice Suite and makes follow-up appointments as required.
  • Act as a front-line representative, record and maintain reports and data to support operational activities.
  • Manages multiple task and deadlines using organizational skills.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in Spanish - verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Windows, MS Office applications, and the Internet.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines using organizational skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions while exercising good judgment.
  • EXCELLENT Customer Service Skills.
