Job Description
A Postdoctoral position in Hematology and Cancer Biology Research is available in the laboratory of Dr. Wei Du at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
Projects are in the areas of molecular analysis of normal and abnormal hematopoiesis, stem cell biology & aging and DNA damage repair and are executed through multi-disciplinary collaborations.
The Du lab is seeking competitive candidates who have recently earned a PhD and/or MD degree and possess effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience in hematology and cancer biology is highly desirable. Excellent skills in Flow cytometry, animal handling, immunofluorescence staining, and basic molecular biology are required.
Salary is commensurate with experience and based on current NIH guidelines.
Additionally, the candidate may be eligible for a Hillman Postdoctoral Fellowship for Innovative Cancer Research (https://hillmanresearch.upmc.edu/research/hillman-fellows/postdoctoral/).
