The successful candidate:

Hours: (5) 8-hour shifts, rotational call, and inpatient rounding

Role Overview: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a highly knowledgeable professional, including Physician Assistants (PA), Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN), and Nurse Practitioners (NP), responsible for providing personalized care to patients. This role involves clinical assessment, interpretative skills, communication, and problem-solving techniques to deliver quality care. The APP supports patients and collaborates with physicians and care teams to meet clinical needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks in collaboration with or as directed by the patient’s attending physician.

  • Conduct clinical tasks within the scope of accrediting and licensing bodies and Medical Staff bylaws.

  • Ensure all medical record entries are co-signed by the attending physician.

  • Prescribe medications as clinically indicated and allowed by state/federal licensing.

  • Interact effectively in various settings with efficiency and urgency.

  • Provide care in inpatient or outpatient settings and take call as needed.

  • Exhibit high levels of independence and critical thinking.

  • Assess concerns with a collaborative team approach.

  • Adapt to varying hours based on patient care and business needs.

Requirements:

  • Current State of IL License

  • DEA without restriction

  • Illinois Controlled Substance license required

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $50.06 - $82.43 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
