Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
This position is a permanent position that acts as a medical and scientific representative of the company for HCPs, medical societies, regulators, academia and other ext. scientific stakeholders. The MAS are responsible for maintaining the highest scientific standards, independence and compliance in every medical/scientific external activity, as well as in scope internal processes. The role and the key responsibilities include delivering high level medical and scientific expertise to internal and external stakeholders, management of assigned products from a medical perspective to ensure that the commercial objectives of nominated products are realised and the interest of the consumer and Pfizer are protected, medical to medical communication, opinion leader management, field force training and scientific presentation to physicians for the related product(s).
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Opinion Leaders and External Engagement (Medical to Medical communication)
Develops and executes key opinion leader engagement plans, maintains regular medical-to-medical interactions with external medical community
Demonstrates leadership, role models collaboration and team work, and inspires others within Department
Establish partnerships with medical societies
Provides the internal and external medical expertise related to the products in the area of responsibility
Organize/prepare medical education events for the scientific community according to the company’s strategy
Respond to medical communication needs
Participate and interact with HCPs in local, regional, national scientific meetings, as well as in “advisory boards” and “speakers training” or other meetings involving opinion leaders
Support scientific projects in accordance with ISR Policy
Provide scientific presentations to opinion leaders
Collecting insights and medical needs of HCPs
Sharing updated regulatory changes with HCPs if needed.
Support of medical publications
Field Force training
Identify the additional training needs and enhance knowledge of sales representatives with up-to-date data.
Conduct regular medical training in the related therapeutic area.
Support product strategies
Supports definition of Therapeutic Area and BU strategies
Develops and executes in-country medical strategy and provide tactical leadership in the country for assigned products to support product/clinical developments plans
Evaluates and approves promotional materials, labelling. Advises on strategy against competitors’ materials, publications
Provides medical input to marketing strategies (strategies & operating plans, POA development) and to external activities (advisory boards), selects relevant data, publications needed for marketing purposes
Supports market access activities by bringing medical expertise
Contributes to the selection of speakers for Pfizer events/meetings
Development/support of scientific projects in response to unmet medical needs and internal/external insights
Anticipates on trends, factors, business and customer needs, and works with cross functional teams to identify opportunities and develop strategies to address changes, support customer priorities and objectives.
Local / Regional Advisory Boards
Support cooperation with patients’ associations
Keep him/herself with the literature of his/her therapeutic area and identify possible gaps in knowledge among the company’s products and its competitors
Other tasks commissioned by Supervisor
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Training and Education
Required: Life science education background./Medical doctor degree preferable. If needed, other areas can be considered (i.e. pharmacy, biology, chemistry).
Relevant Experience:
Ideal candidates will have experience and demonstrated success in the following:
Experience in the related business such as medical manager, advisor or liaison
Experience in customer management and working with stakeholders
Experience in medico-marketing and project management:
Analyzing of medical data and generating outcomes.
Knowledge in the following areas/topics are important for success in the role:
Awareness of market dynamics and business ethics, adaptation to corporate culture and compliance issues
Technical Skills
Scientific excellence (analyzingof medical data and generating outcomes)
Communication and presentation skills (Presenting data and expressing ideas effectively)

Fluent English
