Job Description

The EMBLAVEO® Global Asset Lead role offers an exciting opportunity to launch an innovative anti-infective brand around the world, chair the Global Governance team, partner with the Global Medicines Teams (GMT), act as a voting member of the Joint Commercial Committee with partner AbbVie and ensure continued growth for the International Commercial Division by driving the global brand strategy.

EMBLAVEO (aztreonam-avibactam) helps address the global problem of Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR), with deaths expected to exceed 50 million by 2050. The highest unmet need is for effective therapies that address difficult-to-treat-drug-resistant cases. EMBLAVEO is a breakthrough in the treatment of Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) pathogens. EMBLAVEO is a first-in-class monobactam and beta lactamase inhibitor (BLI) combination with Carbapenem Resistant Enterobacterales (CRE) activity. It is the first β-lactam/β-lactamase inhibitor combination​designed withmetallo-β-lactamases (MBLs) in mind. EMBLAVEO offers both a strong clinical efficacy and safety profile for first line use in patients infected with suspected or documented MBL-producing Enterobacterales.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role the EMBLAVEO Global Asset Lead will:

  • Manage the Brand marketing strategy and positioning of EMBLAVEO, including Life Cycle Management.
  • Drive launch excellence with development of/updates to customer-insight based content generation & launch sequence planning.
  • Chair the Global Governance Table and act as the key marketing member of the EMBLAVEO Global Medicines Team (GMT). Partner with Regional Leads in the ICO and EMCO, ensuring alignment & productive ways of ways working to drive successful implementation
  • Act as voting member of the Joint Commercialization Committee with partner, AbbVie.
  • Manage team of direct reports. Ensure team activities are aligned to strategic priorities and critical success factors to drive brand growth while supporting team members' professional growth.
  • In partnership with PGS, drive global supply planning and management, a critical activity in an API-constrained supply chain.
  • Support the development of KOLs and advocacy strategy, including the management of relevant medical education such as congresses and symposia.
  • Manage OPEX and ensure that the brand budget focused and spent against highest mROI priorities.
  • Oversee appropriate market research and implement findings accordingly into the promotional platform to deliver growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and track EMBLAVEO competitive intelligence and customer insights, incorporating relevant findings into strategies and content.
  • Lead the cross-functional EMBLAVEO team in development of the annual Operating Plan deliverables, aligning across key stakeholders to understand opportunities, risks, customer insights. Define appropriate strategies and tactics to meet and exceed these needs.
  • Constantly look for ways to innovate our communication approach, leveraging internal resources to deliver best-in-class messages to a broad range of customers.

Mandatory Experience:

  • At least 15 years of pharmaceutical experience with broad knowledge of the industry and healthcare environment.
  • Robust prior brand marketing background (global/ regional / country level) with a strong history of achievement and performance; strong financial acumen required.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in delivering top-line revenue growth and bottom-line performance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required, as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with different functions and across cultures and partnering with colleagues who represent a diverse selection of experiences and skills.
  • Out-of-the-box thinker, change agile.
  • Leadership, executive maturity, and marketing skills to manage a flagship brand.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence teams in complex matrix environments.
  • An absolute commitment to adherence to all applicable compliance rules and regulations.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in marketing Anti-Infective products or specialty products to hospital customers is a plus.
  • Robust prior brand marketing experience at a Global/Regional and Country level preferred.
  • Prior experience managing direct reports a plus.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Science, Health Sciences, or Business.
  • MBA or advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex scientific content and epidemiology data and use that to articulate a well-defined commercial opportunity.
  • International Travel 15-25%

Work Location Assignment:Flexible

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
