What You Will Achieve
Your technical skills will help us develop and support robust software for our business. Due to your expertise, you will develop program logic for new applications and modify existing ones. You will support a range of activities, such as coding, testing, debugging, documentation, implementation and maintenance of software applications for Pfizer.
As a Senior Manager, your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts in the discipline and comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to lead complex projects across the division. Your ability to develop and manage plans will facilitate in achieving objectives, interpreting internal and external business challenges and recommending best practices for improvements. While managing complex project environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve targets for the division.

How You Will Achieve It
- Develop ideas and lead frontend web initiatives and processes across platform teams.
- Use knowledge of industry, customer requirements and general business environment to enable delivery of projects and programs, leveraging both standard commercial roadmap patterns as well as innovative technologies across a range of systems disciplines.
- Help coordinate the creation of technical designs and implementation plans.
- Well versed in agile principles and able to lead software engineers in this area.
- Help guide technical objectives for one or more teams with ongoing work activities across all commercial business units within a product grouping and portfolio of projects.
- Assist with release management of related platforms.
- Work with the infrastructure and shared service organizations to procure and manage stable application platforms.
- Establish relationships with customers and members of the project delivery team and liaises between our customers and technical members of the project team.
- Work in a matrixed team environment with Pfizer colleagues as well as vendor partners by participating in vendor management activities.
- Embed Continuous Improvement and automation into daily work and develop a DevOps culture in the team.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years’ experience
- Demonstrated experience as an information technology professional in roles such as a frontend developer.
- Proven experience working with business teams developing and delivering strategy and operating plans with demonstrated competency in strategic thinking, and relationship management
- Experience working with distributed teams of contract or colleague resources
- Ability to take a systematic approach to estimation of technical project
- Exhibits a high level of business knowledge and understanding of the external marketplace and anticipates business line or sub-function customer requirements
- Ability to lead in a complex, matrix environment with geographically distributed resources
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish relationships, influence outcomes, and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences
- Expertise in setting up and maintaining robust testing environments using tools like Jest, Mocha, and Cypress.
- Thorough knowledge of WCAG 2.1 guidelines, with hands-on experience in implementing and auditing accessibility features.
- Strong experience in integrating frontend codebases into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Advanced skills in optimizing web performance by implementing lazy loading, code splitting, tree shaking, and asset minification.
- Expertise in monitoring and optimizing Core Web Vitals such as Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), First Input Delay (FID), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).

- Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
- Proven progressive experience as an Information Technology professional, preferably in a pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of system integrations
- Experience in legal technology space
