How You Will Achieve It

- Manage the preparation, cleaning, and/or operation of various components, materials and equipment.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, perform quality level checks, and document processing steps for various manufacturing / packaging / inspection equipment.
- Perform the cleaning and sanitization of the area as per the procedure.
- Maintain files and databases to ensure all documentation is current and complete.
- Communicating with peers, supervisors, and interdepartmental groups to provide for an efficient drug production process.
- Participate in Response Development to Regulatory Inspection Observations and execute corrective actions recommended as a part of cGMP/Regulatory compliance.
- Be part of an ownership culture that values diversity and where all colleagues are energized and engaged.
- Be part of a team and work collaboratively with the broader Manufacturing Operations group.
- Suggest innovative ideas for the process simplification.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior ProductionOperator I is responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of assigned production equipment. Performing routine preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment, and operation of the equipment during manufacturing.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Self-motivated with ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- Work in a clean manufacturing environment, requiring special garments to be worn. Demonstrate proficiency in gown/de-gown (i.e. aseptic) process.
- Responsible for the proper operation of production equipment. Perform machine set-up, repairs, adjustments, changeovers, emergency repair/replacement, and preventative maintenance on production equipment per the applicable procedures.
- Interact and interpret data from production equipment computerized control systems and displays.
- Responsible for equipment efficiency, downtime, and scrap rate.
- Adhere to all safety requirements (e.g. PPE, LOTO, etc.) and process step requirements (e.g. SOP, Batch Records).
- Communicate recommendation and plan of action for equipment repair to supervisor.
- Communicate and inform management of all safety and/or quality issues.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to achieve production deliverables and schedule adherence.
- Support the Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) activities (e.g. Continuous Improvement (CI), Standard Work (SW), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) including tracking metrics).
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires High School Diploma (or Equivalent).
- Problem solving mindset.
- Possess necessary mechanical skills to perform the required machine set-up, repairs and adjustments in order to keep equipment operating efficiently.
- Proficiently operate/maintain various standard maintenance tools/equipment including basic hand and power tools, multi-meters, and other mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and perform job duties described in operating procedure, product batch records, and other equipment related documentation (e.g. vendor manuals, P&ID, schematics, drawings, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- Technical school/ Auto Mechanic Program Certificate and/or Industrial maintenance/repair experience.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stand 8-12 hours per shift, sit 2-4 hours per shift, use computer terminal 1 hour per shift.
- Change into area required garments (i.e. scrubs, shoes, PPE, safety glasses) 2-3 times per shift.
- Work around moving/rotating equipment, work around chemicals, work in hearing conservation area, work on knees or non-standing position occasionally for repairs. Requires physical activity for equipment repair, adjustment and operation of equipment.
- Respond to visual/audible warning and alarm indicators, respond to color or other visual indicators.
- Walk on floors/catwalks, climb stairs/ladders
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Position is a 12-hour day shift position 6am to 6pm with every other weekend.
Holiday support may be required as needed

The salary for this position ranges from $20.21 to $33.68 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company’s policies.
