Oncology Medical Affairs colleagues are experts with a deep knowledge of their therapeutic area and their medicines. Physicians and other health care professionals and stakeholders view them as peers, and Oncology colleagues as partners. In Oncology Medical Affairs, we provide our customers with accurate and clinically relevant information about our medicines that help them make the right treatment decisions through data generation and dissemination and peer-to-peer interactions. We also generate an actionable insights on our medicines and the evolving clinical reality and collaborate with our colleagues to ensure that they are reflected in Oncology decisions and plans.
Pfizer is hiring a Passionate, Talented, Innovative Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) in Oncology Medical Affairs Department.
The MAS Oncology, Breast Cancer will report to the MAS Line Manager Oncology, Breast Cancer.
Collaboration across functions, creativity, solution-orientation and leadership skills are key criteria for a successful candidate while showing strong ability to prioritize and focus strategies based on specific asset requirements. - The MAS Oncology, Breast Cancer is an integral member of the Italy Oncology Medical Affairs organization. The Oncology department has the responsibility to maximize the existing in-line portfolio offering the scientific expertise and excellence while positioning Pfizer as Oncology category leader also through an exciting and promising pipeline.
- Will join the Italy Oncology Medical Team and will be responsible for Breast Cancer TA in Italy.
- Will have direct relationships with healthcare professionals and research centers focused on increasing quality of partnerships to share the common final objective: patient’s health improvement.

Primary Responsibilities
Maintaining the highest scientific standards during in/external activities to provide deep medical and scientific expertise.
Establish a strong collaborative scientific relationship with relevant stakeholders in the assigned area (KOLs, medical societies, and other relevant internal/external stakeholders).
Provide scientific and medical data to leading health professionals and decision-makers to ensure safe, proper, and effective uses of assigned products, contributing to patients (and populations) health and well-being.
Integrate customer medical insights into the country medical and brand strategy, provide medical and scientific strategic support to the medical team, medical leadership to the country brand team, country and / or local XFTs, drive implementation of the country medical plan.
Responsibility for medical activities at national level referred to the TA strategy
Organization of consulting processes within the team and the headquarter (Medical and Commercial relevant functions)
Contributes to the selection of research locations in collaboration with clinical operations according to Pfizer SOPs and Policies
Observe compliance rules, ensuring activities and communications are conducted in compliance with all policies, guidelines, and regulation and ensure the respect of medical independence.
What You Offer
Medicine degree is required
Specialty training or PhD (Hematology or Oncology strongly preferred), academic experience or clinical experience are required
Relevant Breast Cancer Therapeutic Area clinical experience and/or pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
Experience in conducting clinical research activities is strongly preferred
Excellent and proven scientific and technical expertise (incl. clinical studies management, ad boards)
Project management skills
Ability to work with cross-functional colleagues
Excellent English and local language
Excellent communication and public speaking skills
