Description
Rivier University is seeking an experienced SQL Developer to assist with the creation of mission critical reports from Ellucian’s Colleague SaaS ERP an integrated administrative solution for colleges and universities. The SQL developer will work with the stake holders to review specifications, develop ethe reports and review with stake holders. Reporting to the CIO and working closely with the Ellucian enterprise applications team.
This is a 6-12 month contract position.

Duties and Responsibilities
Respond to end-users' requests for creation of new report or modification of existing reports.

Train and support end-user community in the use of enterprise reporting software features and functionality.

Support enterprise reporting system and database upgrades by participating in testing and troubleshooting processes.

Monitor nightly extraction, load, and transformation jobs from production to reporting systems.

Seek support from database administrator to troubleshoot with these jobs.

Assist with organizing code and report library.

Work with enterprise applications team to develop integration packages using Ellucian data connect or Ethos.

Typical Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or any other quantitative discipline will be considered

3-5 years of experience developing SQL scripts

Some experience using enterprise reporting tools

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills working with stakeholders with ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel

Experience working in an environment supporting multiple departments, gathering requirements to modify existing reports or create new reports meeting the stake holders specifications.
A good sense of humor!
