ROLE SUMMARY

Our team, the Operations & Insights Team, is passionate about using software and data to improve manufacturing processes. We partner with other Pfizer teams focused on:

  • Manufacturing throughput efficiency and increased manufacturing yield
  • Reduction of end-to-end cycle time and increase of percent release attainment
  • Increased quality control lab throughput and more timely closure of quality assurance investigations
  • Increased manufacturing yield of vaccines
  • More cost-effective network planning decisions and lowered inventory costs

In the Sr. Associate, Tester role, you will work closely with the Testing Lead, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to understand and implement the testing strategy for a software release. You will use your understanding of the user requirements to author and run test scripts to support end-to-end testing of the functionality and compliance of our applications. You will work with Quality Assurance to document any test defects or deviations found and provide clarifications regarding the issues to the developers for remediation.

Most of all, you will use your passion for improving the quality of software releases, and desire to cut through red tape to significantly improve our ability to deliver value to our global network of manufacturing facilities, and change patient lives for the better!

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in team environment with Pfizer colleagues as well as vendor partners.
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
  • Provides testing insight to ensure the quality and maintenance of existing production systems.
  • Responsible for the creation, review, approval, and execution for all test scripts.
  • Ensures test traceability to design and/or requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience (or 1 year with a Master’s degree) in application testing, verification, quality assurance, or similar field.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong capabilities developing and executing test scripts.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in understanding information systems.
  • Capable of understanding requirements and designing a test strategy to ensure the system fulfills the requirements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical writing / documentation.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Agile ways of working.
  • Previous working experience in Pharma industry.
