Job Description

Part-time semester adjunct faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Work assignments, days, times, and locations vary. Faculty responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, critical care, childbearing families, and other courses as appropriate; and/or teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner, Educator, and/or Administrator Track of the MS in Nursing program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses and/or teach in the online MS in Nursing program.

  • Keep abreast of recent developments in nursing and incorporate into teaching.

  • Actively contribute to the professional life of the School of Nursing, the College of Health, and Ball State University.

Job Function:

Part-time semester adjunct faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Work assignments, days, times, and locations vary. Faculty responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, pediatrics, critical care, childbearing families, and other courses as appropriate; and/or teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner, Educator, and/or Administrator Track of the MS in Nursing program.

Minimum Experience:

  • Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by the date of appointment;
  • Clinical nursing experience in area of teaching;
  • Ability to communicate effectively; and
  • Ability to use and integrate technology in nursing education.

Preferred Experience:

  • Teaching experience in higher education;
  • Earned doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited college or university;
  • Current clinical practice as an NP.
