Job Description
Argonne National Laboratory has an opportunity for atalented Site Access Representativewithinthe Security and Travel Services (STS) Division.The successful candidate will be responsible for processing visitors, employees, and other Argonne/DOE contractors for their site access credentials. In this role you will provide professional assistance and guidance to all laboratory personnel and visitors regarding Argonne’s site access program. You will collaborate with divisional representatives to process large groups attending conferences, tours, public events, meetings, etc. You will be required to utilize various types of software to compile and generate reports, spreadsheets, and statistics.
Position Requirements
- Verbal communication skills and the ability to deal in a tactful, sensitive and cheerful manner with varied levels of internal and external contacts.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality for the purpose of protecting individuals` personally identifiable information.
- Proficiency in typing and experience with computer word processing.
- Punctuality is essential, and incumbent is responsible for maintaining an acceptable attendance record.
- In accordance with the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) this position serves as a certified Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Registrar and Activator for federal and contractor personnel.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 2 security clearance.
- Adherence to DOE Notice 206.4, Personal Identity Verification, as mandated by Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12).
- Ability to physically secure PIV badges in authorized storage containers; effectively and securely transmit physical badges to vendor.
- Ability to follow prescribed process as defined by DOE Order 473.1A and to prioritize and organize tasks and maintain a rigid schedule of processing all site access credentials.
- Ability to model Argonne’s core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork.
Preferred
- Knowledge of DOE/ANL policies and procedures relating to site access and the personnel security programs.
The selected candidate will be placed at the SA2 Career Framework level. Requirements of this level are as follows:
High school diploma and 4+ years of related experience or equivalent.
To perform the essential functions of this position, successful applicants must provide proof of U.S. citizenship, be able to successfully obtain and maintain a Tier 2 security clearance and pass a drug test prior to employment as defined in 10 CFR 707.4.
