Clinical Nurse III – Endocrinology

We are looking for an experienced ambulatory nurse to work in our Endocrinology/Diabetes clinic at City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center. As a nurse in the clinic, you will be assisting multiple providers in care coordination, patient education, triaging, following up on orders, and supporting the advance practice providers. As a successful candidate, you will:
Demonstrates competentapplication of the nursing process according to the Role Based Practice model:
- Provides and educates patients on disease prevention and restorative measures.
- Administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement the treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care.
- Performs skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiation of peripheral venous access.
- Assesses signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors or general appearance to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or master’s degree in nursing
- Three to five years related experience
- Current California Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in nursing or related field
- 1 year experience with Diabetic/Endocrinology preferred
- Ambulatory experience preferred
- Diabetes education CEU's within 6 months of hire.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $59.57 - $86.37 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
