Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:
The purpose of the Information Technology Services department is to provide the highest-quality technology-based services in the most cost-effective manner, to facilitate Fayetteville State University’s mission as it applies to management, teaching, and learning, and to achieve the University’s academic and administrative objectives as stated in the University’s strategic plan.
Description of Work Continued:
Primary Purpose of the Position:
This position will be responsible for supporting the university’s unified communications systems for a broad range of customers, partners, and key stakeholders in administrative and academic units. It will also be responsible for engaging with callers to understand inquiries and issues and coordinating technical resources to provide timely, impactful resolutions that enable service delivery in alignment with the broader IT strategy.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience; 2-4 years of experience. All degree must be received form appropriately accredited institutions.

Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years
Minimum Field of Expertise:
Analytical skills, problem solving, ability to communicate complex ideas and present to peers.
Experience Managing Microsoft Teams Phone.
Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft PowerShell commands & scripting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrable ability to work with business partners, capture business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Demonstrated understanding of SIP, SIP trunking, and SIP session border controllers (SBCs).
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
Knowledge about Unified Communications / Collaboration industry standards & trends
Understanding of SIP, VoIP, MPLS, VoIP, and other similar network technology protocols
Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate (MS-700)
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-100, MS-101)
Strong understanding of networks and related WAN/LAN technologies
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Outstanding attention to detail and capacity to demonstrate continual learning.
Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent deductive and inductive reasoning skills.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
Ability to work both individually and with teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Experience:
Five (5) years
Preferred Field of Expertise:
Proven experience in managing complex Microsoft Unified Communication and collaboration enterprise environments for large global enterprises.
Demonstrated understanding of complex dial plans & call routing scenarios.
Proven experience in deploying Microsoft Teams Rooms
Experience in Information Technologies or other related areas with experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications.
Solid understanding of UC, VOIP, SBCs, and MTRs.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP and Network communications
