Description
The College of Business and Analytics of Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking a variable-time Clinical Assistant Professor or Assistant Lecturer to teach BUS 201, BUS 203, and MGMT 208, in our undergraduate programs beginning August 19, 2024. Teaching responsibilities will include teaching courses in introductory mathematics and introductory statistics. This is a term, non-tenure-track appointment that is renewable contingent on performance, curricular need, and budget. Topics of interest include include formulas, problem solving, graphing functions, systems of equations, general polynomials, radicals, quadratic functions, exponential, and logarithmic functions, and parabolas, and data usage in policy formation.


Examples of Duties
Teaching responsibilities will include teaching courses in introductory mathematics and introductory statistics.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have earned a Master’s degree in Mathematics or a Master's degree in a related field with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Mathematics by date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Preference for candidates with previous experience working with diverse and underrepresented populations.
• Doctoral degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching mathematics at the K-12 level.
• Experience teaching mathematics at the university level.
• Experience teaching algebra, trigonometry, statistics or pre-calculus.
• Experience with teaching using active learning methods.
• Experience working as part of a team in an educational setting.
• Experience with computer-based
