Desktop Engineering Principal

The successful candidate:
The Principal, Desktop Engineer is responsible for acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Desktop Engineering managed solutions including but not limited to Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, VMWare Workspace One UEM, and JAMF. The Principal, Desktop Engineer will also have a strong knowledge of Citrix with regards to both application presentation and VDI. This individual will be responsible for architecting future solutions supported by the Desktop Engineering Team and also mentoring members of the Desktop Engineering team.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum Experience: 6 years of experience as a Desktop Engineer and at least 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Preferred Experience: Citrix, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 10+, Windows Server 2016+, JAMF, Microsoft M365, VMWare vCenter, VMWare Workspace One UEM, and Vasion PrinterLogic
- Skills/Abilities: Seasoned interpersonal skills, effective communicator, and problem solver. Driven to improve customer satisfaction, both internally and externally. Ability to always maintain professionalism under high pressure situations. Must be able to meet team goals and enjoy working collaboratively as a team.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $56.09 - $98.32 / hour
The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
