Job Description

Job Summary
The IT Programmer/Analyst, reports to the Lead Application Programmer/Analyst, provides scripting and programming support and database programming support as required for CEI'S Application systems. This position supports the Ellucian Colleague Systems and other related applications. The incumbent must understand and embrace the mission of higher education and must commit to the mission, goals and objectives of the College of Eastern Idaho.

Typical Job Functions
Analyze, test, troubleshoot and maintain enterprise applications (Colleague, Schedule 25, Etrieve, NeoGov, Synoptix) and reports to meet business requirements including coding, testing, debugging and installing
Maintain and support data integrations between University systems, while ensuring data security and integrity. Coordinate integrations to help streamline business operations. Ellucian's Analytics, Recruit, Advise & Experience, Touchnet & Canvas
Develop documentation and instructions to guide users in the uses of tools and applications
Document policies and procedures, as well as cross-training other team members in areas of expertise
Assist other team members with software testing, user support, and troubleshooting
Resolve Help Desk tickets and provides support and troubleshooting
Manipulate data and load/extract data from systems using SSIS, PowerShell, SQL
Create forms and workflows using SoftDocs Etrieve Forms and Flow & Ellucian Workflow
Create subject cards using Ellucian Experience
Responsible for delivering optimal customer service, for protecting institutional data and privacy, and the excellent delivery of solutions and services by following IT and University policies, procedures, and processes
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Understanding and knowledge of computer technology
Demonstrable knowledge in one or more programming languages
Strong understanding of relational database structure and complex data systems
Familiarity with MS SQL, Python and common industry reporting tools
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to learn quickly
Ability to work independently and effectively organize tasks
Strong attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn’t sponsor H-1B Visas)
Additional Desired Qualifications
Associate's degree in information systems, computer science or related field preferred
Experience with Higher Ed ERP or CRM systems, particularly Ellucian Colleague
Experience with SQL and/or Unidata or other large-scale relational database
Experience with report design/development
Experience with C family languages, specifically C++ or C#
Experience with Java and/or Eclipse/Colleague Studio development environment
Experience integrating API's or other outside applications (including cloud-based systems) with internal enterprise systems
Ability to work with a high degree of independence and a significant amount of detail
Bilingual (Spanish)
