Job Description

The Biopharma Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is responsible for driving the consolidation and review of the financial performance of the groups that comprise Biopharma. The group delivers financial support and analysis to Commercial Leadership and SVPs of Finance, providing timely, accurate and insightful analyses to support the Biopharma business.

This Senior Director position reports to the SVP Finance and will lead the Global FP&A Function for the three Commercial Divisions (US Commercial, US Oncology, International Commercial). The Senior Director will regularly interact and provide financial analysis, business insights, and thought partnership to the SVP of Finance and the Biopharma LT.  The Senior Director will manage a diverse global team that is responsible for providing FP&A support to each of the Business Units globally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Global Biopharma financial planning, forecasting and reporting activities, including executive management reporting, analysis and forecasts, variance commentary and overall financial performance analysis
  • Act as a strategic partner to the SVP Finance and the Commercial leadership teams, providing valuable strategic and financial analysis and input
  • Direct the Op Plan, forecast and CSP processes from a financial perspective across all of Biopharma
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations, along with building financial models and scenario analyses
  • Lead quarterly reporting activities related to ELT reviews, Board Reports, Earnings Releases and SEC filings
  • Coordinate multiple projects concurrently; lead or serve on various ad-hoc commercial or finance teams as needed
  • Continuously improve budgeting, reporting, analysis framework - along with enhancing systems, tools, and processes
  • Develop and evolve the FP&A function to support the changes needs of the organization, including having a meaningful role in reorganization efforts
  • Manage partnership with DS CoE and Digital teams to ensure that systems, tools and processes are running as efficiently and as effectively as possible
  • Lead simplification/automation initiatives and driving other financial process improvements to support the changing needs of the Biopharma organization
  • Partner with BU finance and Controllers to analyze and manage the Biopharma group restructuring costs
  • Manage team of direct reports that provide FP&A support to each of the Business Units globally

Required Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree
  • 15 years of experience, 10+ years of experience with finance leadership experience
  • Proven leadership in developing “best practices” for financial planning/reporting infrastructure
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including being detail-oriented and proficient in building and using complicated data sources, financial modeling, and multi-year projections
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking skills, and proactive thought leadership
  • Comfortable interfacing with and presenting to executive management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop an FP&A team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence all levels
  • Resourceful in finding answers and solutions when information and data is not readily available
  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in finance or accounting, MBA or CPA
  • Experience in Pharma industry

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
