Job Description
Family Nurse Practitioner serving as a part-time semester adjunct faculty member with appropriate nursing specialization to teach in undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Responsibilities include teaching in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in BS courses; and/or teaching in the Family Nurse Practitioner Track of the online MS in Nursing program. Work assignments, days, times, and locations vary. The position requires the incorporation of evidence-based practice into teaching activities and includes pre-planning and post-semester grading periods. Position may be renewed based on the needs of the program and satisfactory student evaluations.
Candidates also interested in a small administrative assignment facilitating clinical hour verification of our graduates related to certification and employment would be of particular interest to the School.

- Teach in classroom, clinical, and/or simulation environments in baccalaureate courses for adult health, medical-surgical, psychiatric mental health, and other courses as appropriate; and/or teach in the Family Nurse Practitioner Track of the MS in Nursing program.

- Keep abreast of recent developments in nursing and incorporate into teaching.

- Actively contribute to the professional life of the School of Nursing, the College of Health, and Ball State University.

Minimum Experience:
- Earned baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Earned master’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university by date of appointment.
- Demonstrated knowledge, competence, and experience in an advanced nursing practice role
(1 yr. minimum). - Excellent organizational, and written and oral interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Teaching experience in higher education.
- Earned doctorate in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Ability to use and integrate technology in nursing education.
- Current clinical practice as an FNP.
