The Digital VP Client Partner, Pfizer Global Supply (PGS)and Enabling Functions will be a proven leader, creative and strategic thinker, and able to effectively engage and influence at all levels of the organization with strong executive presence. 

This individual will partner with business leaders, stakeholders, and Digital groups to develop strategy, prioritize work, and ensure the successful execution of the strategy including products / solution delivery, business adoption and business case achievement. across PGS, People Experience (PX), Finance, Compliance, Legal, and the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) areas.

The Digital VP Client Partner, PGS and Enabling Functions will work closely with senior leaders across the company with shared outcomes to lead with our values, recruit and retain the best talent, develop strong leaders, achieve our DEI goals, and maintain Pfizer’s position as an amazing place to work.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As Digital Client Partner for the PGS and Enabling Functions area, the individual will define and drive the Pfizer Digital strategy for the organization. They will interact with the leadership teams, the leaders of other areas supporting the organization, and the various Pfizer Digital teams managing the solutions.

Drawing from a mix of Digital, Functional and Industry experience, Digital Client Partners are proactive thought leaders partnering with the business to drive innovative use of technology, data, and/or digital (existing, new) to create value and superior Digital experiences.

Scope includes Pfizer Global Supply and Enabling Functions including PX, Finance, GBS, Legal, Compliance, and all ESG related strategies.

Key Responsibilities span Team Leadership, Strategy & Planning, Communication, Innovation, etc. and include:

  • Lead a team of Digital Client Partner leaders who are strategic Digital thought partners for the business areas within PGS and Enabling Functions.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all digital matters related to the areas in PGS and Enabling Functions.
  • Understand customers’ operational needs and help to drive strategic direction.
  • Lead Digital strategy and cost/benefit business case(s) creation with business sponsors and input from appropriate Digital groups, to meet business needs and Bold Move priorities.
  • Lead large-scale program governance teams to prioritize and manage Digital demand. Clearly communicate prioritized demand and requirements to all appropriate Digital groups.
  • Work across the Digital organization to assemble business cases for large, cross-functional transformational programs. This includes cost and value estimates, risk and quality plans, integrated delivery timelines and change management strategies.
  • Review in-depth analysis and recommendations to management and senior staff in complex, ambiguous situations across the Global Business Units
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of the digital strategy and creates a seamless digital experience for the PGS and Enabling Functions area.
  • Bring the creative ideas of others to market; exercise good judgment about which creative ideas and suggestions will work; influence and manage the creative process of others; facilitate effective brainstorming; project how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and at least 20 years of pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other relevant experience;  preferred advanced degree in related experience with 18+ years of experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of enabling teamwork in a matrix environment
  • Proven ability to build coalitions and develop strong partnerships across functions
  • Strong diplomacy skills; able to navigate a difficult political environment
  • Executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization 
  • Experienced working with uncertainty and delivering innovation
  • An “execution mindset” focused on getting things done quickly and simply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • History of success in Digital strategy consulting
  • Previous experience working in pharmaceutical/biologic manufacturing environment
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to travel (both domestic and internationally) to Pfizer offices, vendor offices and other team meeting locations when required. Project work can sometimes be demanding and require work during off-hours.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $262,100.00 to $436,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
