Job Description
The Machine Learning Engineer II is responsible for a variety of tasks in support of the Department of
Machine Learning and its research initiatives. These include administering computing infrastructure,
developing professional-level software tools for machine/deep learning applications in cancer research,
and collaborating on software implementation with team members.
The role involves training new staff, maintaining a quality assurance program for software tools, and
establishing standards for structured software and systems engineering. Additionally, the engineer is
tasked with extending data management applications for genomics, clinical, and imaging data, adhering
to best coding practices, exploring new technologies, and effectively collaborating with cross-functional
teams. The level II is expected to handle more complex tasks independently and mentor junior engineers
compared to a level I Machine Learning Engineer.
Education:
Bachelor's in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, machine learning or related fields with 3 years Machine Learning and software development required.
- Masters with 1 yr experience or PhD preferred.
