Job Description
IT Logistics Specialist
Position Highlights:
- The Logistics Specialist supports the operations of the Information Technology department. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory management, asset management and delivery of assets across multiple campuses.
The Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate will have experience with vendor management software and in-person (customer service) interactions
- The ideal candidate will have IT experience in a hospital or medical facility.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily processing of deliveries to IT department to include matching POs, asset tagging and asset management, generating tasks for prep, deployment, etc ...
- Configures, images and prepares equipment for Filed Services technicians for deployment
- Ensures inventory is accurately tracked and updated in the asset management database.
- Works with leasing and salvage companies for appropriate out-processing of equipment.
- Ensures all process and requirements are followed for audit compliance.
- Effectively maintains inventory counts and storage locations to ensure proper par levels are on hand/on order at all times.
- Processes requests for equipment pulls from inventory which allow Field Services technicians and others to fulfill customer needs.
- Coordinates deliveries to and reclaims from multiple campuses on a regular basis.
- Clearly and effectively communicate with customers via email, phone, instant message, and in person.
- Documents all customer contact in the appropriate ticket.
- Works in conjunction with IT teams and others on project initiatives requiring logistics support.
Credentials and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of two (2) years supply chain and distribution experience directly involved in distribution and receiving operational support within a healthcare facility, medical durable goods management, educational facility or similar supplier/distribution business where email, spreadsheets, a ticketing system and asset management were part of daily role.
Preferred Experience:
- One (1) year experience with vendor management software and in-person (customer service) interactions
- IT experience in a hospital or medical facility
- Experience with Windows operating systems including configuration and customization
- Experience with Microsoft Office and any asset management and IT Service Management application.
- Familiarity with imaging tools such as SCCM.
- Understand different technology components and their use.
Licensure/Certification:
- Valid Driver’s License required (must obtain Florida Driver’s License within 6 months of employment)
