The position will be responsible for managing the operational performance of programs under the oversight of the Senior Executive Director of Estate and Trust Administration. This position will:
- Develop and monitor key performance metrics
- Develop and implement plans to achieve specified targets
- Coordinate and manage operational activities for the program
- Routinely report on performance to Planned Giving Operations
- Develop and maintain the budget, timeline, and implementation plan
- Strategic Project Management
The position will partner with the Senior Executive Director of Estate and Trust Administration to manage all aspects of the life income gift program; contract management for all PLG activities and provide back of house support for gifts of Real Estate and other complex funding assets. This position will:
- Directly lead the management of strategic initiatives from inception to implementation
- Serve as a liaison between leadership, Finance, Enterprise Business Intelligence, Contracts Office, Corporate Real Estate and operational leads to ensure objectives are achieved
- Create and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Manage daily tasks associated with implementation of initiatives including direct communication with donors
- Establish routine reporting and templates to be used across PLG Operations
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Manages life income program.
- Acts as the primary liaison with TIAA Kaspick, City of Hope’s external investment manager for its life income gifts program.
- Oversees trust administration for City of Hope’s charitable remainder trusts and charitable gift annuities.
- Acts as liaison with the Planned Giving Team, internal finance, legal, and accounting staff on all life income gift matters.
- Oversees gift acceptance and processing procedures within the department, within the established legal and tax guidelines.
- Documents and coordinates legal review during gift acceptance phase.
- Responds to death notifications and maintains sensitive communications with family members of deceased donors.
- Manages annual reports for life income gifts, oversees their dissemination to assigned donors, and any other direct donor outreach.
- Supports annual 1099-Rs and K-1s mailings to life income gift donors.
- Oversee contract renewal process at the end of each fiscal year and act as the point of contact for all Planned Giving vendors.
- Applying extensive real estate experience, provide back of house support to the Planned Giving Team for charitable gifts funded with real estate by preparing gift calculations, obtaining valuations, managing the real property checklist, drafting donor communications, and ensuring that the gifts get properly recorded.
- Monitor and manage departmental budget. Assist in the operational management of other departmental programs.
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field. 3 additional years of experience plus the minimum experience requirement may substitute for minimum education.
- Two years of experience working in hospital operations.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $41.92 - $64.97 / hour
