- Appointment Type: Full-Time, Consecutive Term - 12 month
- Title/Rank: Assistant Professor
- Primary Location: OU-Oklahoma City, OK
Primary Responsibilities: The individual filling this position will serve as an academic faculty member in the Speech-Language Pathology program within the Department of CSD, College of Allied Health. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Teach didactic courses in the MA-SLP program
- Supervision of or consultation with MA-SLP students in the clinic
- Conduct research in area of expertise
- Mentor UG and MA-SLP students in research activities
- Contribute to university, college, department, and program committees
Required: PhD degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field, evidence of successful university teaching, potential for, a productive research program, and excellent interpersonal, outreach, and communication skills.
Preferred (Not Required):
- Didactic and clinical teaching experience and an interest in interprofessional health education.
- Areas of research include fluency, speech sound disorders, and speech & hearing science.
- Candidates with evidence of the ability to secure external grant funding, mentor graduate student research, and engage in collaborative research at a large, comprehensive health center are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Clinical credentials are optional.
