The Manager, Patient Food Services provides direction for patient meal services for patient care units at City of Hope. The manager supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards. The manager Implements performance improvement and quality assurance programs targeted to improve customer satisfaction
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Direct daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.
- Coordinate menu development for cycle menus, themed events, and special functions overseeing all functionality of POS System of Computrition, FOM Pro & Inventory Connect.
- Work with clinical departments to develop all specialized diets & training, system recipe input and implement for patient needs.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals, nourishments, and snacks to patients and checks meal accuracy for menus, portion control, and diet needs.
- Manage by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate.
- Ensure that employees demonstrate an active customer hospitality orientation toward customers and clients.
- Probe potential problems and apprise manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary.
- Establish operating standards, implement quality improvements and communicate them to employees.
Your qualifications should include:
- AA or AOS in Hospitality Management; 2 additional years of experience plus the minimum experience requirement may substitute for minimum education.
- 2 years of related work experience plus 2 years of lead or supervisory experience
- CDM (Certified Dietary Manager), RD (Registered Dietitian), or DTR (Dietetic Technician, Registered)
- Serv-Safe certification

Salary range $72,051- $111,675

Pay Rate: $34.64 - $53.70 / hour
