The Email Marketing Specialist is a key member of the Digital Marketing team and will play a critical role in the success of City of Hope’s marketing, awareness and prospecting initiatives. The Specialist’s primary responsibility will be performing day-to-day email marketing activities, including but not limited to: building and deployment of email marketing communications, A/B testing, data segmentation, and reporting results. The specialist will be responsible for design, development and execution of emails to increase brand awareness and engagement, drive patient volume and event registrations. The specialist takes pride in the details and has an eye for improving processes along the way. This position is expected to utilize email marketing best practices and to stay updated with new email technologies.

As a successful candidate, you will:

• Build and deploy email marketing campaigns, including HTML development, audience segmentation and data processing, pre-deployment testing and quality assurance, and reporting and analysis.
• Implement email strategies and tools to drive optimal deliverability and email reputation among email service providers.
• Perform A/B and multivariate testing on email campaigns to continually improve campaignperformance.
• Optimize email automation efforts through journeys, trigger building and nurture track development.
• Identify and implement email engagement strategies to drive optimal open and click-through rates, call-to- action conversion and minimal email opt-outs.
• Use mass email communications calendar to work with stakeholders across the organization and their agencies to time communications for optimal performance.
• Provide email channel and campaign metrics reports and analysis on a regular basis; provide detailed reporting of email KPIs, campaigns, and results of A/B and multivariate testing.
• Provide recommendations for strengthening email performance and enhancing their effectiveness.

Your qualifications should include:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Design, Marketing, Communications, Email/Digital Technology, or related field; 4 additional years of experience plus the minimum experience requirement may substitute for minimum education.
• 2 - 5 years of email marketing experience. One to 5 years of general marketing, email/digital design and production, experience. Knowledge of general email/digital development processes. Demonstrated project management experience and direct client contact.
