**$20,000 Sign-On Bonus**

The Director of Inpatient Oncology Nursing is a Registered Nurse who is empowered to ensure the delivery of personalized, comprehensive care to patients admitted to the inpatient nursing units of the hospital.

The successful candidate:

  • Serves as a role model for professional excellence in the administration and delivery of patient care, through the use of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of staff, patient, departmental and organizational needs for the inpatient oncology areas. Areas of focus include development and implementation of philosophy, goals and objectives while ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensures 24-hour accountability for the delivery of excellent care through direct supervision of nursing supervisors on the inpatient oncology unit and the house supervisors.

  • Possesses a working knowledge of budget, business planning and health care finance.

  • Maintains excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to interact with a wide variety of individuals and handle several complex situations simultaneously.

  • Demonstrates the willingness and ability to research learn and obtain knowledge for the performance of the position.

  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize critical thinking and apply sound clinical judgment and assessment skills for decision making; demonstrated leadership skills

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Graduate of an accredited program of nursing-Bachelor of Science degree in nursing is required. Master's degree preferred

  • Ten years nursing experience in acute care or oncology. Five years management experience in inpatient hospital nursing

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Georgia. Current CPR certification

  • Oncology Nursing Society’s (ONS) Chemotherapy certification preferred

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $48.61 - $80.03 / hour
