Do you have a passion for coding? Would you love to participate in design discussion, analysing and improving the scalability, efficiency and quality of our products and systems? Apple is excited to announce that applications will open for our UK Software Engineering Apprenticeship programme in June 2024.
For our 2024 Apprenticeship Programme, in partnership with Makers Academy, we are offering opportunities for UK employees to join our Software Engineering teams based in the UK for a period of 24 months starting September 2024. As apprentices, you will contribute to the ongoing development of products and services across: Software Engineering, Apple Services and IS&T while working to achieve your Level 4 Apprenticeship qualification.
We aim to combine hands-on experience with virtual learning, delivered by our partner provider Makers, including one-to-ones with coaches and mentors, tutorials and proper programming projects. You’ll work on a one-to-one basis with a dedicated skills coach, and progress alongside the other apprentices.You will be given every opportunity to develop your career through exposure to advanced technology, wider business communities and tailor-made training programmes.

Description
As part of the Apple Software Engineering apprenticeship you will be immersed into the world of Technology. You will collaborate with technology colleagues closely to help create innovative solutions that lead the way in advancing technology and the Apple products.
Prior to joining one of the participating teams in our London offices, you’ll spend your first five months upskilling through the Makers world class coding bootcamp, diving deep into the world of software engineering and learning best practices for working in a digital team.
Makers will support you to graduate with a foundation degree. The world-class coaches have eight years of experience discovering and unlocking technical skill potential in people. We don’t just teach you how to code, they will teach you to think like problem-solvers, and give you the coding tools to construct solutions for almost any problem.
Following the bootcamp you will join an Apple team and have the opportunity to learn from a group of leading technical experts.
To supplement the learning you will do on the job, you will be supported by your manager and a Makers placement coach to ensure you are achieving the relevant apprenticeship standards and advance your career in Technology.
