Job Description

Summary

The laboratory of infectious disease epidemiology at Baylor College of Medicine in the department of pediatrics- tropical medicine is seeking a postdoctoral associate. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated scientist with interest and expertise in epidemiology, geospatial analysis, and vector-borne disease research. Our goal is to conduct research to understand what influence the built environment and socioeconomic factors have on mosquito abundance.

The team, led by scientists with experience in infectious disease epidemiologic research is looking to recruit a postdoctoral researcher. BCM is located in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center and offers a highly interactive environment and a strong infrastructure for research and career development.

Job Duties

  • Identifiesappropriate datasets for analysis.
  • Geocodes data.
  • Conducts spatial analysis.
  • Builds regression models.
  • Develops and validates a composite score using collected data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.
