Job Description

Summary

The Department of Medicine is currently seeking an experienced individual at the Instructor level to conduct cancer research. The Department has 14 sections focus on clinical disciplines within the field of internal medicine, including three devoted to research: Cardiovascular Research, Health Services Research, and Epidemiology and Population Sciences. This position will be within the Section of Epidemiology and Population Sciences. This position is ideal for an individual who has training and excellent publication record in cancer research and is expected to publish manuscripts and contribute data to grant submissions.

Job Duties

  • Perform basic and translational research on cancer biology, cancer immunology and immunotherapy.
  • Supervise staff, research technician, postdoc, and students.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications.
  • Manages and coordinates the research activities inside and outside of the laboratory.
  • Demonstrate use and care of equipment to research personnel in the laboratory.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Has a PhD degree in biomedical sciences.
  • Has strong publication record in cancer research.
  • Has 3-5 years post-doctoral experience.
