Empowerment Training Specialist

The successful candidate:

The Training Specialist will be responsible for evaluating department needs and delivering a training plan complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources such as online modules and guides. He/She will be responsible for updating training material to align with current business rules and practices. The Training Specialist will also be responsible for improving competency scores for employees, by administering development plans for each core function and team members.

Skills, Education and Additional Information

  • At least 2 years of proven experience within a call center environment
  • At least 2 years previous experience as a teacher, corporate training specialist or related position
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business, human resources or related field
  • Background in healthcare preferred
  • Familiarity with adult education techniques or instructional design concepts a plus
  • Knowledge of Agent Desktop Supervisor/Telephony system is required, Cisco preferred
  • Knowledge of Workforce Manager systems is required, Verint preferred.
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management platform is required, Salesforce preferred
  • Strong initiative and judgement
  • Strong follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with all levels of management
  • Strong organization/time management skills
  • Experience working with electronic learning management systems and platforms
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office; knowledge in instructional software a plus
  • Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects
  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in a rapidly changing environment
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $27.75 - $45.67 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
