City of Hope Medical Group Seeks a Medical Oncologist to Join Our Long Beach Team
City of Hope, Long Beach provides the communitywith unparalleled care and innovative cancer treatments closer to home.The Department of Medical Oncology and Therapeutics Research at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking applications for a full-time clinical faculty with experience in diagnosing and treating both cancer and blood disorders,to join our established practice in the coastal city of Long Beach, Southern California.
This position is a rare opportunity to work in a 475+ member integrated, multidisciplinary Medical Group Practice serving an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in Southern California. City of Hope is an expanding institution in both numbers of patients per year as well as infrastructure investment in clinical, academic and research facilities.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- As a faculty member, you will have access to our generous annual 401k and healthcare benefits, etc. Our current benefits are:
- Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, AD&D, life, Malpractice, CME allowance,20 days paid vacation, 3 personal days, 18 sick days, 7 holidays, and 10 CME days
- 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan: 20% of base salary not to exceed the plan (compensation limit of $305k) and/or IRS annual compensation limit
- Annual academic improvement fund up to$5,000
- Base Salary: $400k - $525k(base pay commensurate with qualified academic rank).
- The salary range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.
- Physicians working for City of Hope Medical Group are now eligible to apply for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program
- Relocation offered on a case-by-case basis
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- When fully staffed, the Long Beach practice will include a total of 8 providers
- 4 medical oncologists and 4 APPs
- Effort allocation: 95% clinical with potential for involvement in all phases of clinical trials; the Long Beach Elm location has a strong clinical research tradition that has recently included early phase studies of bispecific T-cell engager antibodies in solid tumor
- Cover *two clinic locations: Long Beach Worsham & Long Beach Elmand associated regional hospitals along with the entire provider team *only 6 miles apart
