Job Description

Job Summary
The Lead ERP System Developer designs and develops technical solutions with a high level of reliability in support of College's ERP system, PeopleSoft. The position is responsible for the performance and operation of one or more PeopleSoft applications and provides leadership to junior developers. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.

Duties & Responsibilities
•Develops, configures, oversees, and troubleshoots PeopleSoft application systems
•Supports ongoing system enhancements, updates, and upgrades
•Collaborates with group of off-shore PeopleSoft developers to execute technical solutions
•Serves as a senior technical resource to the PeopleSoft support team
•Collaborates with PeopleSoft infrastructure and functional team members to provide production support
•Defines new coding standards and optimum methods of problem solving
•Develops and maintains documentation on requirements, functional & technical specifications, and testing procedures
•Works with functional owners to leverage existing applications or recommend new solutions to improve or enhance business processes
•Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field and seven (7) years of progressive experience in developing and maintaining PeopleSoft applications in specific business domain
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and
•policies and procedures
•Strong working knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts of software development life cycle and computer programming
•Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.x or higher development tools, languages and environments
•Demonstrated experience in planning, implementation, and design of PeopleSoft customizations and integrations
•Demonstrated functional knowledge of one or more PeopleSoft product modules in HCM, FSCM, or Campus Solutions
•Demonstrated working experience and knowledge of Oracle database technologies and SQL
•Knowledge of PeopleSoft Portal and web development tools such as Java, HTML, and XML
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies
•Ability to supervise and train assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and end users
•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
•Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff

This function/position has been designated as essential. This means that when the College is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in such positions may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at the College.
