Obesity and Cancer Applied Postdoctoral Fellow

The Carson Research Group (CRG), led by Dr. Tiffany Carson, is part of the Division of Population Science, Department of Health Outcomes and Behavior at Moffitt Cancer Center. The CRG conducts research that focuses on cancer risk reduction and reducing racial disparities in obesity and cancer.

The mission of the CRG is to help all people live longer, healthier lives. Our goal is to reduce racial health disparities by establishing innovative bio-behavioral approaches for obesity treatment and chronic disease prevention. The CRG also supports the mentoring and career development of scholars and staff members who are committed to health disparities and health equity research.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses strong scientific writing ability
  • Has experience managing and analyzing biomedical data

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with completion (e.g., participant enrollment, data collection) for a large research study
  • Lead and assist with scientific manuscript writing

 

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • PhD in Health Behavior, Epidemiology, Nutrition, Health Promotion, or other similar public health related fields is required
  • Should have at least one first Author publication
