Summary

A Postdoctoral Fellow position available at the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy for motivated and skillful applicants interested in translational immunology and engineering cell therapies for grave diseases The project involves developing therapeutic cells to suppress unwanted inflammation as a therapy for allo- and autoimmune conditions. The applicant will be developing and testing a new cell platform using in vitro and in vivo models.

Job Duties

  • Designs and clones new constructs and express them in therapeutic cells.
  • Assesses the activity of transgenic cells in models of inflammation.
  • Evaluates transgenic therapeutic cells in models of auto/alloimmunity in vivo.
  • Analyzes literature and develop new hypotheses to test in pilot experiments.
  • Assists with writing reports and manuscripts and present at scientific meetings.
  • Maintains a timely log of experimental notes.
  • Works in a great team with diverse background and expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in translational immunology.
