Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantitative Methodologist to join the Sheth and Provenza laboratories. The lab focuses on deep brain stimulation, epilepsy monitoring, and the development of novel neuromodulation therapies for psychiatric disorders. We are looking for a team member to help coordinate and automate all aspects of the data pipeline, from initial collection, automated processing, and analysis to improve clinical outcomes. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, such as overseeing cloud and on-premises infrastructure and offering technical assistance to colleagues and end users. The Quantitative Methodologist should possess strong communication skills and proficiency  with python, Windows, and Linux server administration. Will be responsible for processing and analyzing multi-modal data for publication in peer-reviewed journal or presentation to the target audience. The position requires excellent communication skills, and working directly with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, research coordinators, data managers, biostatisticians, fellows, and students.

Job Duties

  • Oversee servers deployed on-premises data centers and in cloud environments.
  • Ensure security, performance, and availability of these systems.
  • Cross-train colleagues on various technologies and software elements.
  • Completestatistical and qualitative analyses on new and available data sets.
  • Automated compilation of quantitative and qualitative data sources.
  • Preparecomprehensive documented observations, analyses and interpretations of results including technical reports, summaries, protocols, and qualitative analyses.
  • Developsystems, processes, and procedures for timely data collection.
  • Regularly apply updates and patches to Microsoft Windows and Linux servers Processes research information and results for easier consumption.
  • Providestatistical analysis and data management support scientific progress.
  • Assist with drafting of grant proposals and publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • Performother job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Quantitative Psychology, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in related field of Neuroscience, Statistics, Science, or Mathematics
