Job Description
The Basic Science Research Group of the Department of Dermatology at Columbia University is seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral research scientists with an interest in skin immunology and general T cell biology.Successful candidates will be involved in research focused on mechanisms of T cell mediated autoimmune diseases of the skin, the role of the microbiome, antigen dependent and independent modes of T cell activation, and regulation and functions of T cells in human epithelial immunity.
Prospective applicants should have a Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., M.D. or doctoral equivalent in Immunology or a related field, and should possess strong laboratory, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with sterile cell culture, flow cytometry, cell isolation techniques and immunoassays, as well as knowledge of T cell biology, are preferred.
