Food Service Worker

The successful candidate:
Hours: Mon - Fri 11am-7pm with rotating weekends
*Must have an Illinois food handlers' certificate
The Culinary Rep provides Culinary and Dietary support for the organization and those under its specialized care. Ensures a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment with an unparalleled level of customer service to ensure all Patients, Caregivers, Stakeholders, and guests have a positive experience at our facility. Responsible for all cash transactions, for all food items and the maintaining and set-up of serving and dining area.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in Food and Beverage/Hospitality/High-volume hospital cafeteria setting, preferred
License/ Certification/ Permit:
Certification from an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) food handler training accredited program or obtained within 30 days of employment (Required in IL). ServeSafe preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong customer services skills
Ability to work well on a team
Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office suite
Strong attention to detail and organizational and time management skills
Ability to be flexible, adapting to changing conditions in a fast-paced environment

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $21.90 / hour
