Collaborates with the Enterprise Learning and Development team in designing learning experiences that support City of Hope’s philosophy, mission, vision and strategic plan.

The Senior Learning Experience Designer actively engaged in the conceptualization, design, development, and implementation of learning products (e.g., leadership development, skill development, technical skill development, micro-learning, program learning, etc.). The Senior Learning Experience Designer will project manage Enterprise Learning and Talent Development programs, developing project plans and ensuring the adherence of them. This role will work closely with strategic partners and vendors, focused on the creation of new learning content, as well as the search for suitable existing learning content within City of Hope’s learning management systems.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Lead the learning content creation for all delivery contexts, including programs, course-based, competency-based, self-paced, micro-learning and other such contexts to align with internal strategies.
  • Lead program design and development meetings, addressing marketing research and analysis, regulatory needs, industry trends, competitive landscape, relevant data, instructional framework options and more.
  • Lead the project management planning, ensuring learning launch dates are met and ensures appropriate resourcing of all projects; ensures members of the project team are familiar with program design and development design philosophy and project management plans.
  • Ensure the learning content development for course delivery is of the highest quality possible and supports mastery of learning outcomes.
  • Ensure learning content adheres to design decisions, organizational requirements and ELTD standards; drives internal partner reviews and implements feedback and required changes.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to design, develop and implement learning solutions.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; 4 additional years of experience plus the minimum experience requirement may substitute for minimum education.
  • Five+ years working in organizational development, learning and development.
  • LMS (Cornerstone) preferred.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $38.11 - $59.07 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
