Compensation: $15.25 hourly base pay plus a commission earned from client base with the average new hire making $25.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules and administers computerized Health Risk Appraisals and Physical Fitness Assessments to new and existing clients at least three times per year.
  • Prescribes individual exercise programs that follow the guidelines adopted by Akron General LifeStyles based on assessment results and client goals.
  • Maintains a record of past and present clients' attendance and payments.
  • Reviews all policies and procedures with each client verbally.
  • Provides floor coverage during times of need.
  • Follows the established procedure for repair of equipment found to be malfunctioning.
  • Displays proficiency in the operation of the computer hardware and KI software.
  • Follows system and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.
  • Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements. Maintains applicable certification/licensure.
  • Other duties as assigned


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in athletic training, physical therapy, exercise physiology, exercise science, physical education or other related discipline or specific certification in personal training required.


Certifications:

  • None required


Complexity of Work:

  • Excellent communication and customer service related skills required. Ability to work variable hours as necessary. Possesses a professional attitude and demeanor. Capable of maintaining positive ongoing communications with clients and staff.


Work Experience:

  • Experience in the administration of physical assessments, exercise prescriptions and program development. Basic computer operational skills preferred.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $15.25

Maximum hourly: $19.60

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
