Job Description
Summary
The Epidemiology Program is the largest program devoted to pediatric cancer epidemiology in the US. The Program currently has several funded research projects focused on pediatric cancer etiology and survivorship. This position provides much-needed support to several of these projects through the following activities. Coordinating and evaluating day-to-day data management and analyses needs of research protocols for the Epidemiology program and supporting research efforts of the program. Daily activities include database development, data monitoring, and data analyses as well as ensuring accurate data collection through data QA/QC.
Job Duties
- Supports data management needs and daily operations for research studies.
- Collects, evaluates, and tracks data for studies.
- Ensure research protocol's data management needs are being met.
- Develops and implements databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Ensure data integrity through routine QC/QA data checks.
- Performs data analyses according to procedures outlined in data analysis section of study protocols.
- Interprets data and analyzes results using statistical techniques and provides ongoing reports.
- Maintains data management and analyses records for research studies.
- Organizes study research databases following specific data management guidelines.
- Work in a team environment with faculty, co-investigators, and study staff to ensure data analytics needs and protocol objectives are being met.
- May train and review work of other data managers on the team.
- May schedule study meetings and conference calls.
- Prepare study meeting agendas, participate in meetings, and presents results.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's in Public Health.
- Experience utilized statistical software, including Excel, STATA, and SAS, for comprehensive analysis.
