We have an exciting opportunity to join our talented Human Resources Department, Organizational Development team. In partnership with the Executive Director, Organizational Effectiveness and Analytics team, the Organizational Effectiveness Manager co-leads overall employee engagement effort with an emphasis on annual engagement survey project management including a best practice approach to vendor management, change management, internal communications, leading and influencing engagement champions and action teams, action planning, distribution and presentation of results reports to executives and their teams. Responsible for measuring program and experience effectiveness and partnering with the HR Business Partner team and its leadership on the work. Similar responsibilities for related organizational effectiveness owned processes include but are not limited to performance management, succession management, HR interventional work, and support to first year experience. Provides learning and development facilitation, assessment, instructional design expertise, and program implementation of learning and development initiatives outside of these where and when needed.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Responsible for the project management of the 3-year engagement strategy. Includes all engagement efforts (Pulse surveys, Census surveys, various listening strategies, project plans, communication plans, overall project execution, results report development, delivery and distribution, leadership of the Engagement Champion team as well as action plan development and progress reporting).
  • For interventional efforts, performs client intakes, assessment and diagnosis consulting on organizational issues affecting business results, engagement, and experience. Develops and delivers recommendations/proposals based on findings to executive leadership to address gaps. Acts as a consultant resource post sharing of findings and recommendations.
  • Provides, in collaboration with HR Business Partners and their leader, internal management consulting expertise and services across departments on a broad array of management and leadership development topics.
  • Evaluates programmatic results/impacts by designing various follow-up and feedback mechanisms for the purpose of determining project effectiveness and determining any necessary changes or revisions to the program.
  • Recommends, co-develops, and co-implements Learning and Development programs specific to Organizational Effectiveness strategic priorities in collaboration with key internal partners. Considers needs analyses, available resources, and budgetary allotment, so that the best programs can be implemented for optimum programmatic outcomes.
  • Effectively manages projects of high complexity, both within and across departments, in support of desired business objectives and to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Manages relationships with City of Hope executives, leaders and managers, and external consulting firms to optimize business results.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, software, publications and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  • Keeps abreast of current trends, best practices, and their application in Organizational Effectiveness work.
  • Provides development to other groups within HR where and when appropriate.
  • Assists in maintaining positive employee relations and in promoting a positive image of the ELTD Group.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with emphasis in organizational development, behavioral sciences, human resources, or business management; 4 additional years of experience plus the minimum experience requirement may substitute for minimum education.
  • Eight plus years of experience in OD grounded work in large fast paced organizations. Strong preference in employee experience and engagement, new employee first year experience/onboarding, competency model development, performance management and succession management. Preference for experience in a healthcare system environment.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $45.22 - $72.36 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
