What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a Year Round Clerical Union Undergrad Intern to join our dynamic team
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Provides clerical support in an office environment assisting with general administrative duties which may include document preparation, filing, making copies, data entry, ordering supplies, record keeping, and other related assignments.

- Interact with management and staff
- Provide administrative/clerical support to the department
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendars
- Assist with the coordination of meetings and visits
- Book Travel
Qualifications We Require:
You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
- Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0
- Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
- U.S. citizenship
As a condition of employment, the selected candidate will be represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), which requires monthly membership dues or agency fees. New hires into an OPEIU represented position will remain in the initial position for twelve (12) months before being eligible to be considered for other Sandia employment.

Department 1331 is a multidisciplinary research and development group supporting NNSA Defense and Work for Other (WFO) Programs. Our capabilities include experimental electromagnetics, the design and manufacturing of advanced power electronics, compact high current drivers, electron beam accelerators, x-ray sources, development and analysis of advanced materials and components, and plasma physics. Department 1331 employs a comprehensive research approach that includes analysis, simulation, and hardware verification. This team is part of the Radiation, Electrical and High Energy Density Science (REHEDS) Research Foundation at Sandia.

Security Clearance:
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
