What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking an Operations Integration Professional (OIP) to be the Division Business Administrator (DBA) for organizations 10620 who will support the Nuclear Deterrence divisions (00003, 02000 and 07000). They will utilize their knowledge, experience, and expertise in business, strategy, finance, operations, and integration, while establishing and leading a continuum of business functions and operations in partnership with the leadership of organizations, projects, and programs. On any given day you may be called upon to: + Manage and assume responsibility for the coordination and execution of financial planning, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on multiple budgets (ND ALD, ND PM, SLA’s, other indirect budgets, etc.) + Lead cross-functional teams to design, implement, facilitate, and drive integrated, multi-disciplinary solutions to complex operational problems and/or align with mission/strategic objectives + Collaborate with technical and business/operational partners to identify, plan, and achieve short- and long-term business and physical operational needs + Partner with management to drive and fulfill the Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) strategy, communications, and operations plan + Provide General/Tailored Project Management within Mission Center/Division on group dynamics and organizational development initiatives + Lead efforts on operational aspects of the mission area, program, or project to ensure effective integration, optimization of processes, and compliance with accepted operating standards + Design, develop, and facilitate strategic planning and process improvements. Use qualitative and quantitative data to develop strategies, goals and objectives, and detailed plans for long-range implementation + Partner closely with the organizations to analyze operations, processes, trends, resources, and projections to determine the most efficient methods to accomplish mission objectives + Develop mechanisms for monitoring progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers + Develop relationships and participate in negotiations with internal and external customers on matters of customer requirements and limitations + Drive Operational Excellence through the continued focus to streamline, automate, reduce/ eliminate non-value-added activities, and drive continuous improvement activities. This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the NM assigned work location when necessary. Qualifications We Require: + Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, plus eight or more years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the job. + Active DOE Q-level (or DOD equivalent) security clearance. Qualifications We Desire: + Experience supporting business operations for Center and/or Division offices at Sandia National Laboratories + DBA and CBA experience + Prior experience in the portfolio area + Experience with Integrated Service Delivery + Success working with executives and has strong teaming skills to work with a variety of personalities, in a high-visibility role. + Experience with Sandia’s Indirect Program and Business Operations + Experience in Center 10600, Integrated Business Management Organization (IBMO) + Proven experience interacting and consulting with all levels of management (e.g. Manager, Senior Manager, Director, Associate Lab Director/VP, and Deputy Lab Director). + Master’s degree in relevant discipline plus eight years of relevant experience + Knowledge of and experience in the labs Integrated Service Delivery (ISD) Model + Strong education, knowledge, and experience in integrating with both business management and physical operations. + Experience and success in continuous improvement and/or organizational change. + Possesses a deep understanding of laboratory/DOE physical operations (i.e. facilities, ES&H, Logistics, IT, procurement) and matrixed organizational structures. + Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to apply these skills to resolve complex business or operational issues. + Intermediate to advanced knowledge of and experience with common office software and required software for specialized functions, organizations, and programs. + Successful experience conducting budget formulation, budget execution, financial analyses, funding practices and fiscal administration. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively present detailed information in a clear and coherent manner, including the meaning and implications of analyses and information presented. + Ability to lead others and improve performance through mentoring and training. + Experience creating and delivering training. + Ability to integrate with leadership and interact effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel to build effective working relations, reach consensus, negotiate and address a broad range of business issues. + Ability to integrate with technical project and organization teams and be a team player. + Ability to work with sensitive and classified information. About Our Team: The ND Business Operations and Integration team, Org. 10620, enables solutions with our partners and optimizes connections to achieve Mission success by providing financial & business management, General/Tailored Project Management, and operations & integration expertise across Sandia National Laboratories. Through partnership with the business office, our Line Partners are better able to focus on the technical solutions required to achieve mission success. We provide business operations support throughout the project lifecycle through an expert based, service-oriented team atmosphere.
